Don’t Do Faith Alone

Have you ever thought…

“I can follow God on my own.”
“I don’t really need church.”
“It’s just me and God.”

It sounds reasonable.

But it’s not how we were designed.

What Scripture Says

“Let us not give up meeting together… but encourage one another.”
— Hebrews 10:25

Church isn’t just a place.

It’s a people—a community God designed for your growth.

Why It Matters

Following Jesus was never meant to be a solo journey.

You need:

• Encouragement when your faith feels weak
• Correction when you start drifting
• Support when life gets heavy

And others need that from you too.

Analogy: A Coal in the Fire

Picture a burning fire.
Now take one coal and set it aside.
At first, it still glows.
But slowly… it fades.
It cools down.

Why?

Because it’s no longer connected.

That’s what happens when we isolate ourselves spiritually.

We don’t lose faith instantly—
we slowly grow cold.

The Real Struggle

Sometimes we avoid church because:

We feel tired.
We’ve been hurt before.
We think we’re “doing fine.”

But isolation makes you vulnerable.
Connection strengthens you.

Questions to Reflect On

• Am I prioritizing gathering with other believers?
• What excuses have I been making?
• Who am I encouraging—and who is encouraging me?

Today’s Reminder

Church isn’t about perfection.

It’s about presence.

Showing up.
Growing together.
Pointing each other back to Christ.

Final Thought

You weren’t meant to walk this alone.

Your faith grows stronger
when it’s surrounded by others.

So don’t just believe in private.

This is me then…and this is me now. God doesn’t just heal the adult you…
He heals the child you used to be too!

What I’ve learned is that the child I used to be still lives inside the adult I am today.

Research shows that childhood experiences shape how we handle stress, relationships, trust, and self-worth as adults. Studies on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and attachment theory show that early childhood experiences can affect emotional health, relationships, and even physical health later in life.

In simple terms:
Many adults are not reacting to what is happening today — they are reacting to what happened years ago.

This is why healing matters.

Inner child healing is learning how to go back and love that younger version of yourself properly.
Protect them.
Encourage them.
Let them rest.
Let them dream again.
Speak kindly to them.
Forgive what they didn’t know.
Remind them that they survived.

Inner child healing is when the adult you becomes the safe place the younger you never had.

And the beautiful part is this:
God doesn’t just heal the adult you…
He heals the child you used to be too.

You are not powerless.
You are not unequipped.
You are not at the mercy of every battle that rises against you.

If the Holy Spirit lives in you, then heaven has already placed within you what you need to stand, fight, endure, and overcome.

Stop talking like defeat has the final word.
Stop shrinking back as if fear has authority over your life.
Stop waiting for permission to walk in what God already gave you.

The same Spirit that strengthens, leads, convicts, comforts, and empowers is already at work in you.
This is your reminder: you were never created to live intimidated by what God has already given you power to overcome.

Walk in authority.
Walk in boldness.
Walk in obedience.
Walk in the power that God has given you.
