🐣🚗 THE GREAT HATCHING EGG ROAD TRIP — TAG YOUR FRIENDS! 🚗🐣
So apparently I found some RARE HATCHING EGGS that I absolutely NEED.
Small problem.
They are across the border.
And approximately 6,000 km away. 😂
Naturally, instead of saying “that’s ridiculous,” I start texting people.
First person I call is Musings at 2 a.m. because if anyone is going to agree to a completely unnecessary 6,000 km chicken trip with 14 minutes notice… it’s them. 😂
They say YES before I even finish explaining.
We need snacks, so we call Sam Bonner
Huge mistake.
They show up with 3 coffees, beef jerky, a family-sized bag of chips and absolutely NOTHING that could be considered an actual meal. 😂
Next we pick up McFarland Farms who brings 7 bags because apparently we’re MOVING now.
We’re four hours into the trip when Pie Vallie Goat Farm they have to p*e.
Again.
We have stopped six times.
😑
At the border, the officer asks:
“Purpose of your trip?”
Before I can answer, Cluckin Cheetah Girlss leans over from the back seat and says:
“CHICKENS.”
🐔😳
Secondary inspection it is. 😂😂
Somehow we make it across.
Then Flex & The Flock gets control of the music.
Nobody knows how.
Nobody remembers giving them permission.
But we’ve now listened to the same song 11 times.
Meanwhile Pupncluck has fallen asleep and contributed absolutely NOTHING to this trip besides occasionally waking up and asking:
“Are we there yet?”

FINALLY…
We get the eggs. 🥚🥚🥚
They’re beautiful.
They’re perfect.
They’re carefully packed.
Everyone has been given STRICT instructions:
DO. NOT. TOUCH. THE. EGGS.
Five minutes later…
Alexandrine Engleheart almost sits on them.
😳
I nearly leave them at a gas station.
😂😂😂
After approximately 6,000 km, 47 coffees, 86 bathroom stops, one questionable border crossing and several threats to make people walk home…
WE MADE IT. 🙌🐣
Now comes the important part.
The eggs go into the incubator…
21 days later…
ONE HATCHES.
🐣
It’s a rooster.
