Your child’s first therapist is YOU! Don’t let a diagnosis overwhelm you. While waiting for services, work with your child at home, educate yourself. It's not easy at first, and that’s okay. Be involved. Be their voice. Advocacy starts at home. ♾️💙

Your child’s first therapist is YOU! 💙

Don’t receive a diagnosis and lose yourself in the process. Jump in the game, Coach! While your child is on waiting lists, start working with them at home. Advocate for your child. Speak up. Apply for every service and resource available. Educate yourself and learn your child’s needs.

You may not know everything in the beginning, and that’s okay, experience is one of the best teachers.

Look in the mirror and remind yourself: “I’ve got this, and my child has me!” ♾️💙
