Microaggressions are subtle, often unintentional, comments or actions that can negatively impact individuals in the workplace. These remarks might seem harmless but can accumulate over time, creating a stressful and exclusive environment.

Microaggressions affect various aspects of identity, including gender, race, age, and more. 🏳️‍🌈👩🏾‍💼👨🏻‍🦳

🔍 Examples of Microaggressions:

• Assuming someone is in a junior role based on their age or appearance.
• Interrupting or dismissing ideas due to gender or ethnicity.
• Questioning someone’s judgment in a way that undermines their expertise.

It’s crucial to recognize and address these behaviors to create a more inclusive and supportive work environment.

As a matter of fact, recognition for a job well done ranks higher than just about everything else, including pay when Gallup asks employees to share what is most important to them each year.

And with a little focus, this is not hard to achieve!

Here are some actionable tips to incorporate recognition moments into your daily routine:

1. **Morning Boost**: Start the day with a quick thank-you email to someone who went the extra mile yesterday. 🌅

2. **Gratitude Wall**: Create a virtual or physical space where team members can post shoutouts or thanks to colleagues who've helped them recently. 🌟
