I am a wife, mother, nana and a successful digital business owner. My family is my everything and being able to spend time with them means the world to me. I got to a point in my life where certain circumstances made me realize that I no longer wanted to work for someone else or have to punch a time clock each and every day. The year 2020 forced me to have to come out of my comfort zone and push a
ll of my fears aside. I was let go of my customer service job in the medical field in the middle of a pandemic at age 51. Instead of preparing myself for my golden years, I found myself having to start all over again in the work force. Companies were not hiring people, but rather laying them off due to the pandemic. Every day I found myself getting more and more frustrated not being able to find a job. I have always believed that in life things happen for a reason even though at the time we might not always know why. I truly believe deep down inside that when I lost my job it was a sign from God telling me that I needed a change in my life. I no longer wanted to continue to scrape money together and still just barely get by month to month. I no longer wanted to have to worry about how my bills were going to get paid. I wanted to be able to have more time with my family and to be able to take care of my aging mother. I wanted to be able to have the flexibility to travel with my family and take my work with me wherever I went and work whenever I wanted to. But most of all, I no longer wanted to have to answer to someone else. One day while I was scrolling through my social media page, I came across this ad of a young couple sitting at their camp by the water. They were so happy talking about how they were able to stop their full time jobs and start a digital business. The more and more that I listened to them talk about all of the advantages of having a digital business, the more I needed to know how they did it. Right then and there, I realized that there it was right in front of me everything that I have been hoping and dreaming of all along. Deciding to watch that webinar was the best decision that I have ever made and it changed my life for the better. I don't worry anymore about how I will pay my bills and I no longer find myself just barely getting by from month to month. I have all the time that I want with my family to travel and make so many memories. I am able to care for my aging mother and be there whenever she needs me but most of all, I no longer have to answer to anyone or punch a time clock. I am able to work whenever and wherever I want to. My office is either my laptop or my cell phone so I can take my work wherever I go. What is so amazing about this business is that all of the training is provided and we teach people from all industries. There is no need to be tech savvy because there are always people there to help. There are mentors, coaches and a big global community to be a part of. Everybody in this business is so very friendly and helpful and we are all like one big happy family. I absolutely love what I do and it makes me extremely happy being able to helps others. No this business is not a get rich scheme and it does require work to be put in. There is no selling required with this business. Another great thing about this business is that it is always running in the background. Like anything in life, hard work always pays off in the end. There are no accidents in life and whatever happens it is always for a reason. I might not have saw this at first when I was let go of my job, but I now know that it was truly a blessing from God. If anyone would have told me that at age 52 I would be running a successful digital business, I would have thought that was the craziest idea ever. I was so scared to come out of my comfort zone and take that leap of faith, but here I am now the happiest that I have ever been and so thankful that I didn't let my fears get in the way of my dreams.
