I canβt forget the beginning! This beautiful couple was one of my very first weddings in Texas who trusted me π€
When we moved to Texas almost five years ago this coming October, it was quite the transition. I tried really hard not to have expectations but traveling to WA so often for work took my mind off of things that were harder during this season. I learned a lot about patience that I thought I had! Good thing I had faith in God to help!
Itβs easy to look back once youβve settled in and only remember the good partβthe favorite places, the people youβve met, and how the new life finally started to feel like home. But the good part didnβt just happen.
It was built in all those uneasy days. Every uncomfortable moment helped me (us) grow. The days I had second thoughts was another day it was becoming more familiar, more confident, and more rooted in a place that once felt completely foreign.
Eventually, the unfamiliar became familiar. The hard days became stories, lots of moving parts still because we are adapting and changing but it not so bad after all π
