Pause the worry without pushing it away.
Try a three-minute "worry appointment":
1. Write the worry in a few words.
2. Choose a specific time later today to revisit it. For example, set aside 10 minutes at 7:00 p.m.
3. Return to your next immediate task.
If the thought comes back, say, "I have a time for this." Then gently redirect your attention.
This is not ignoring a concern. It gives your mind a clear time to return to it, so the worry does not take over every moment.
Try it this Monday. Keep the appointment, review the note, and decide on your next step.
Address urgent safety or health concerns promptly through appropriate professional, emergency, or crisis support.
