Our very best kitchen design ideas came from her. She advised us to improve access from the kitchen to the backyard by removing a door and converting a grungy mudroom into a pleasant extension of the kitchen. She also offered suggestions on how to build useful storage into that transitional space and make it “cuter.” When were unable to imagine what our kitchen would look like when a wall came out
, or to decide how wide to make the passageway vs. the new peninsula, she advised us on proportions and drew several sketches of ways to frame the space by adding shelves for storage and visual interest. I came away from every consultation even more impressed by her eye, and elated to have new ideas.

Its been a year and a half since the kitchen Charlotte designed for us was finished, and l am thankful every single day for what a change its made in our house. The difference in our entire downstairs simply can't be overstated. Charlotte is a miracle worker with transforming small spaces into efficient, beautiful ones where every single thing makes sense and looks really good. It was a pleasure working with her to come up with the plan. She asked excellent questions that helped draw out what we really wanted (we weren't always sure), then used her particular brand of genius to come up with wonderful solutions, while adding some ideas of her own. Several times the contractor told me how amazed they were with the precision of her measurements. Basically, she was right every single time, even when their measurements weren't. We felt like we'd used a rock star. I can't recommend Charlotte Schoeneman enough.
