FAMU Osceola Pond: Building on The Hill 🐍🧡💚
Here's what's going in:
Two signature fountains. Aerating display fountains with lights mounted underwater on their floats, so the pond glows after dark.
🟢🟠A promenade that changes color. More than 600 feet of black guardrail along the water, with color-changing LED light under the rail. Orange and green on game night.
🟢🟠 Over 850 feet of seat walls. Cast-in-place walls built to be sat on, giving the whole edge of the pond a place to gather.
🟢🟠 Greek monuments. Dedicated space that honors the fraternities and sororities that shape Rattler life.
🟢🟠 Rattler-branded furnishings. Bronze benches and receptacles with the FAMU Rattler logo, plus tables, umbrellas, and power pedestals.
🟢🟠 Engineered retaining walls. Structural walls that reshape the pond's edge and hold the grade.
🟢🟠 Brick-paved walks. New hardscape connecting the pond to the heart of campus.
🟢🟠 New trees and planting. Native landscaping, a new irrigation pump station, and lighting across the site.
This is more than a pond. It's a front porch for Rattler Nation 💚🧡
