👹‍đŸŠČ😂 **Happy National Be Bald and Be Free Day!**

Some of us have been celebrating this holiday for YEARS!

And I'll tell you something... there's a certain freedom that comes with being bald.

No expensive haircuts.
No bad hair days.
No spending 20 minutes fixing your hair in the morning.

Just get up and go! 😎

Wouldn't it be nice if your bookkeeping were that simple?

No more wondering if your QuickBooks is accurate.
No more piles of transactions waiting to be categorized.
No more headaches trying to figure out where your money went.

That's where I come in!

At Yoke Books & Business Solutions, I help small business owners free themselves from bookkeeping headaches with QuickBooks Online cleanups and reliable monthly bookkeeping.

**I can't help you grow your hair back, but I CAN help you get your books back in shape!** 😂

Came home to pieces of cash all over my floor.

It was like someone had put it in a blender.

My dog ate $466 in cash.

Or at least, that's what I thought.

As I looked at the pieces of cash

scattered on the floor,

I'm not going to lie.

I got a little angry.

I don't normally keep cash on my nightstand.

Because I typically don't have any cash. lol

This wasn't even supposed to be there.

And my dog has never done anything like this.

Not once. Not ever.

I started collecting the pieces.

A $20.

A $5.

A $1.

Those were the only three I couldn't

find enough of for the bank to replace.

Everything else, somehow, survived.

So now I've got this photo of shredded cash

and off camera a very guilty looking dog.

Sheesh

I have heard of people being money hungry...

đŸ·đŸ’° **Happy National Savings Day!**

It's not just what your business makes. **It's what your business keeps!**

A business can bring in $20,000 a month and still struggle to pay the bills.

Why? Because revenue doesn't tell the whole story.

It's easy to get excited about sales, but what really matters is how much money is left after expenses.

Are your expenses growing faster than your revenue? Are you spending money in areas that aren't helping your business grow? Do you even know your actual profit?

That's where good bookkeeping makes a difference.

At Yoke Books & Business Solutions, I help small business owners understand their numbers through QuickBooks Online cleanups and monthly bookkeeping.

Because making more money is great. **Keeping more of it is even better!** đŸ’”

One agent mixed business and personal for years.
Untangling it cost him more than money.

Same debit card for everything.

Client lunches. Groceries. Marketing spend.
Gas for showings. Gas for his kid's soccer practice.

For years, it was easier that way.

One account. One card. No thinking required.

Then he came to me wanting real numbers.
Not guesses. Not "I think I did okay."

We went back three years.

Line by line.
Transaction by transaction.
Trying to separate the business
from a life that had no separation at all.

It took weeks.

Weeks he didn't get back.
Money he paid me to untangle
what he could have kept separate from day one.

Here's what hit him hardest.

It wasn't the time.
It wasn't even what we found.

It was realizing he never actually knew
if he was profitable.

Not for three years.

He was just... assuming.

He has one account now.
One card. One clean set of books.

He didn't just fix his bookkeeping.

He finally found out the truth
about his own business.

Look at these lazy soldiers.

What are you guys thinking?

That's what our Sergeant Major said

when he walked up on us that day.

We were sprawled out in the trees.

A couple of ponchos strung up for shade.

Looked like we were slacking off.

Here's what he didn't see.

We'd already done a 15 mile road march.

Before the sun even came up.

Then spent the entire day

digging a fighting position

into Fort Benning's hard dirt.

100 degrees.

100 percent humidity.

Georgia in the summer.

Those "lazy" soldiers had been getting after it

since before dawn.

We ended up getting recognized

for that fighting position.

One of the best built during the whole exercise.

Funny how that works.

Sometimes the people working the hardest

look the most like they're doing nothing.

You just didn't see the 12 hours

that it took to get here.

💡 Happy National LED Light Day!

Good bookkeeping turns the lights on in your business.

It’s hard to make good decisions when you’re operating in the dark.

How much did you actually make last month?
Where is the money going?
Are expenses creeping up?
Is the business really as profitable as it feels?

Your books should help answer those questions—not create more of them.

That’s what good bookkeeping is really about.

I help small business owners with QuickBooks Online cleanups and monthly bookkeeping so they can see what’s happening financially and make decisions with better information.

Because running a business is hard enough.

You shouldn’t have to do it in the dark. 💡

🏈 Happy National Coaches Day!

Even great business owners need the right people on the sidelines.

You can be great at what you do and still not be great at everything.

That’s why good coaches matter. They see things from a different angle, help you stay focused, and allow you to spend more time doing what you do best.

Business isn’t much different.

You may be great at taking care of customers, leading your team, or growing your business. That doesn’t mean you should spend your nights trying to reconcile accounts or figure out QuickBooks.

Build a team around you that makes you better.

I help small business owners with QuickBooks Online cleanups and monthly bookkeeping so they can focus on leading the business instead of trying to do every job themselves.

You don’t have to play every position.

You just need the right people on the sidelines.

From mess to success.

You lead the business. We carry the weight.

Michael Burry just doubled down on his AI bet.

The same guy who called the 2008 crash
before anyone believed him.

This time, he's betting against Nvidia and Palantir.

He's not just shorting the stocks.

He's saying a market crash that blocks
OpenAI and Anthropic from going public
would actually be good for humanity.

That's a bold claim.

Some are mapping the ripple effects.
Over 250 public companies tied to this trade.

Others are reminding everyone of something important.

One great call in 2008
doesn't make someone a reliable market timer.

So where does that leave us?

Is this the guy who saw it coming again?

Or is this a smart investor
who got famous for being early once
and is now just early... or wrong?

What do you think?
Will it affect the real estate market?

Drop your take in the comments.
Bubble, correction, or nothing at all?

🍬 Happy National Smarties Day!

Smart business owners know they don’t have to do everything themselves.

That might be one of the smartest lessons you can learn as a business owner.

You didn’t start your business so you could spend nights categorizing transactions, reconciling bank accounts, or trying to figure out why QuickBooks doesn’t match the bank.

Your time is better spent doing the things that actually need YOU.

That’s where having the right people around you matters.

I help small business owners with QuickBooks Online cleanups and monthly bookkeeping so they can spend less time worrying about their books and more time running their business.

Doing everything yourself doesn’t make you a better business owner.

Knowing what to hand off just might. 🍬

From mess to success.

You lead the business. We carry the weight.

I'm not so sure.
Are the 80's really better than the 90's?

Let me tell you about my 1993 Geo Metro.

First car I ever bought.
45 miles to the gallon.
Cost less to fill up than lunch.

It took me to college.
It took me all over
Virginia
North Carolina
West Virginia
Tennessee

It took me to hockey games.
I played goalie.
That meant hauling all my gear too.
Three teammates.
Four bags of hockey equipment.

One tiny Geo Metro.
20 degrees outside.
Windows down anyway.
Live's "Throwing Copper" blasting
through a stereo system that cost
almost as much as the car.

We didn't care.
We were young and invincible.

That car had no business
running as long as it did.

But it got us everywhere we needed to go.

Some of my best memories
came out of the cheapest car I ever owned.

Maybe the decade doesn't matter.

Maybe it's what you do with what you've got.
