🇺🇸 RAISE THE FLAGS, TAWAS! 🇺🇸
One of Tawas' most cherished summer traditions is returning, and we need your help!
The American flags that proudly line US-23 and M-55 don't raise themselves. It takes community members, businesses, families, and volunteers coming together to keep this beautiful tradition alive. Volunteers will meet at Tawas City Hall, receive flags and route instructions, then head out in teams to place the flags.
Whether you can help for an hour or bring a crew, your support makes a difference.

🇺🇸 Sunday is Flag Day! 🇺🇸
This weekend, we celebrate the American flag — a symbol of freedom, unity, sacrifice, and hope. For nearly 250 years, the Stars and Stripes have represented the strength of our nation and the pride we share in our communities. On Flag Day, we are reminded that the flag is more than fabric and color; it is a symbol of the values that bring us together.
The Tawas Business Association is proud to help uphold that tradition through the flags that line US-23 and M-55. We know they've been missed, and we're excited to see them flying proudly once again!
A special thank you to Great Lakes Insurance, Axe N Lanes, and Kiwanis for helping make this community project possible.

🇺🇸 Raise the Flags Along Tawas 🇺🇸
We're looking for volunteer teams to help raise the American flags along US-23 and M-55 on July 1 in preparation for the Fourth of July and Summerfest celebrations.
We recommend teams of 3 volunteers and a pickup truck. Volunteers will meet at Tawas City Hall Parking Lot to receive flags, route maps, and simple instructions before heading out.

The Bleu Moose Bakery cafe SATURDAY, APRIL 4th will haveLIVE MUSIC from noon to 2:00 to benefit Tawas Community Concert Band

The April 4th special kick-off presentation includes a FLUTE ensemble, SAXOPHONE quintet, and 5-piece JAZZ combo. They include some of the area's finest musicians (and include "roots" from Bay City, Nashville, Cincinnati, and Detroit to boot)!!!
Grab a baked good and a cup of coffee and enjoy the music in a relaxed, come as you are, environment. There will be a tip jar for the music (don't be shy) with some of the proceeds going towards the TAWAS COMMUNITY CONCERT BAND!
