Here is a short video of processing wood on Cohay Timberlands Job!

This first forked tree is a good example of what you get when we harvest your timber. I cut a log off the butt and the forks went for Chip-N-Saw where it would have been easier and faster to throw the whole tree in the pulpwood pile! We take pride in doing things the right way and we are trying to build a reputation on that!

This is a second thinning in Smith Co MS and we are sorting multiple products. If you want to see us on your property soon give me a call!

A big fine Cherry Bark Oak Tree I cut this morning!
It took me a little while to get the edges of the tree trimmed down and to get all the way in there to the meat of the tree it was a big ole fine one!

Tell me what you think! I wasn’t in a hurry just wanted to make sure I didn’t bust the log (I didn’t) and wanted to make sure it went where I wanted it to!

We are firm believers in the fact that a good haul road is your lifeline. If the road is bad or not prepared properly that can mean bad days ahead when weather hits as well as bad erosion after we’re gone. Y’all take a look at this. It’s a good depiction of what happened in the northwest US and what it’s going to take to fix it!

This shows the damage Southern Pine Beetles can do to a pine plantation. This tract is about 34 years old and has been thinned once before. SPB came in off the Government property adjacent to this tract and they have wreaked havoc on this timber.

We are currently trying to get them stopped and cut the good timber that is still green! The timber the SPB is in is totally dead and the bark is slipping leaving us with very few options to market them.

If you think you have SPB on your property get in touch with a forester immediately to make a plan of action against them!
