In the last couple of weeks, we have seen a dramatic increase in bear activity in town. This includes not only the usual dumpster diving, but in the last two days, we've had a bear failing to yield to hikers on the Bear Creek Trail, and a bear enter a residence in town. Unfortunately, we have also noticed a number of people approaching bears to take photos, etc. Please help us spread the word that these are wild animals, and therefore unpredictable. Any animal can be dangerous if it feels cornered or threatened, and the more comfortable they get around humans, the slimmer their chances of survival become. Be
