Wondering what a stress-free maternity session in Murrieta looks like? Swipe through a few favorites.

You don’t have to plan the outfit, figure out the poses, or know what to do with your hands. The client closet has gowns for expecting mamas, so that you never have to buy one for a single session. Posing is guided from start to finish, so that all you have to do is show up.

The sweet spot to book is 28 to 34 weeks, so that you feel comfortable and your bump has shape. Partners and little ones are welcome in the photos too.

Feeling self-conscious about being in your own newborn photos? Here are 3 things that make it feel less exposing:

1️⃣ We start with baby. You have plenty of time to settle into the space before the camera turns toward you.

2️⃣ Posing is guided. A hand, a close embrace, your face turned toward your baby. You never have to guess what to do.
Wardrobe is handled. The client closet has soft, comfortable pieces, so that you’re not shopping or wondering what fits right now.

You might be a few weeks postpartum, running on very little sleep, and not feeling like yourself yet. That is a normal place to be, and it is exactly why these photos matter. Your baby will want to see you in their first days, not just their tiny toes.

What do you wear to a newborn session when you’re running on no sleep?

You don’t have to figure it out alone. I styled this entire family myself, so that everyone looks like they belong in the same photo. At your planning consultation, we choose a color theme together and plan outfits for mom, baby, and the whole family. Mom and baby can borrow from the client closet, so that you’re not shopping for a one-time outfit.

If you’re not sure where to start, soft neutrals and earth tones usually photograph beautifully together.

Before there are three of you, there's this: the two of you, still waiting for the big moment.

A maternity session isn't only about the bump. It's an hour that belongs to you and your partner, with guided posing so that nobody has to wonder what to do with their hands. Then baby arrives, and you have this chapter exactly as it was.

Soft light, a simple black outfit, and a sleeping baby tucked right against her cheek. This is the kind of photo you'll be so glad exists.

If you've been planning to stay out of your newborn photos, you don't have to feel ready to be in them. Your baby will grow fast, and the photos of you holding them are the ones you'll want later. I handle guided posing and the client closet so that you don't have to think about what to wear or where your hands go.

1. Will labor go the way I'm picturing it?
Almost nobody's does, and that's okay.

2. Will I bond instantly?
For a lot of moms, bonding builds over weeks, not one cinematic moment.

3. What will my body look like?
This is exactly why guided posing and a client closet exist, so that you're never figuring it out on your own.

4. Will I know what I'm doing?
Most new moms feel this way for a while. It passes.

One of my favorite traditions, capturing homecoming photos for my girl and her friends. I’ve been doing this since middle school, and somehow we are already at junior year. 😭
Watching these girls grow into confident, beautiful young women, while still seeing the friendships and joy that make this season so special, gets me every time. I know these photos are more than dresses and bouquets. They are little pieces of a chapter that is going by way too fast. 💛

September flew by faster than I expected, between sessions, edits, and client calls. Last day of September.
