Happy 2015 to everyone! Hope this new year is treating you all well and that you are treating yourselves with tender loving care:). This past October I finally began my journey into the world of CranioSacral Therapy. I have wanted to study this modality of body work ever since I benefited from it enormously after a serious car accident and several concussions and whiplashes while I was completing my own training in massage school. After studying it myself, I am even more impressed with it's subtlety and it's power to heal. This winter I'd like to offer this treatment on a sliding scale for those of you who are interested in giving it a try.

You pay based on two things 1) what you can afford and 2) what you feel the treatment was worth to you. It is $35 to $65 for an hour. An additional 30 minutes of CranioSacral or therapeutic massage is $25. Appointment times are limited and appointments are available most Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Fridays from 9 to 11:30 and 1:30 to 3:30. Some noon and early evening appointments after 6 will be available as well. All appointments include use of the sauna and hot tub at the Alpenhof Lodge.

CranioSacral is a gentle and profound therapy that involves a light, noninvasive, trained touch that can re-establish the balance and release the trauma in the craniosacral system ( the system that involves all the bones of the skull, the spine and sacrum and the regulation and pulse of the cerebrospinal fluid that circulates within this closed system). Discovered and developed by Dr. Upledger in the early 1970's, it is a modality that works synchronistically with the bodies natural healing processes. It has been safely used on all ages and has addressed numerous disorders including headaches and neck and back pain, motor coordination problems and emotional difficulties. It is also amazingly relaxing, a powerful stress reducer and enhances other massage modalities. Come try it:)!

Local prices and appointments are available for customized massage and Raindrop Technique as well. Availability for local priced massage is the same as above with some early evenings and Thursdays available. All treatments come with use of hot tub and sauna and shower. 1 hour massage is $75, 1.5 is $95 and Raindrop Technique is $85.
