I had the honor yesterday to work on a special family friends pantry that has been a source of stress for them for quite some time. It was a sweet Christmas gift to them, but due to life happenings, we changed it to a Mother’s Day gift!
Important things that made this pantry transformation unique
* It needed just a bit of filtering and then sectioning out. It simply wasn’t functional, but had great bones.
*Pulling all items out and dividing into sections visually showed us that they had a few items they have purchased too many of because they didn’t think they had it. (This happens often)
*It’s a small pantry, so it needed to be made grab and go with not too many space taking containers. We added a few containers and a beautiful lazy susan to accomplish our goals.
* I was able to create a pantry to meet the individual clients daily needs. Typically I would take cans out of the space and put them lower in a can holder, but they needed them where bending wasn’t necessary.
* I created more space for a frequent baker with ample supplies vs someone like me that rarely bakes and has more cooking supplies. All the cookie cutters divided and labeled, supplies sectioned properly and labeled.
*I was able to keep it very budget friendly for them as needed by using the flour and sugar containers they already had and not adding a lot more containers.
* The pantry created is not only functional for now, but able to expand or decrease based on life seasons like holidays.
Of course we had to get adorable pup in the picture.
