💙 Mamas, can I get your feedback on something I’ve been working on? 👀

One thing I’ve noticed while helping families reset their homes is that sometimes kids aren’t unwilling to clean their rooms—they’re simply overwhelmed by where to start!

So I’ve been developing Room Reset Cheat Sheets that break tidying up into simple, manageable steps, with three age-appropriate versions:

🧸 Littles — Simple, visual steps for younger children.

🌈 Preteens — Clear, manageable instructions that encourage independence.

✨ Teenagers — A straightforward, no-nonsense guide that doesn’t feel babyish. 😂

The goal? Help kids build confidence and independence while reducing the mental load on parents who are tired of repeating the same instructions!

I’m exploring the idea of offering these as professionally printed, laminated guides that kids can keep in their bedrooms and reuse whenever they need a little direction.

But before I explore production, I’d love your feedback!

This has been such a special project to bring to life because I wanted it to feel like more than a list of services. I wanted it to reflect the heart behind Busy Mom Solutions — practical support, less shame, more breathing room, and homes that actually work for the families living in them.

What started as a small idea to help overwhelmed moms has grown into a team, a community, and support for more than 50 local families in our first year as an LLC. I’m so grateful for every mom who trusted us enough to welcome us into her home and be part of this journey.

💙 What does “Moms Helping Moms” actually mean at Busy Mom Solutions?

It means we understand that sometimes you don’t need a perfectly polished home—you just need another set of hands.

Someone to fold the laundry that’s been staring at you all week. Change the sheets. Reset the playroom. Put things back where they belong. Organize the space that’s making everyday life harder. Or simply walk into the overwhelm and ask:

“What can I take off your plate today?”

That’s the heart behind our Home Resets—and ultimately, our mission of bringing moms out of survival mode.

We’re not a traditional cleaning company, and we’re not coming into your home with an unrealistic checklist that has to be completed before we leave. We provide practical, hands-on household support during the time you’ve reserved, thoughtfully working through your family’s priorities without rushing the care we give your home.

Some weeks, that means getting the house back to baseline. Other weeks, it means finally tackling the project you haven’t had the time or capacity to touch. And if everything doesn’t get finished? That’s okay. We pick up where we left off next time.

Why does Busy Mom Solutions require payment ahead of time? 💙

Our approach has always been moms supporting moms, and that applies to both the families we serve and the women on our team.

When a team member reserves a session for a client, she may be coordinating childcare, rearranging her family’s schedule, setting aside other earning opportunities, and preparing specifically for that household. Because cancellations and last-minute changes are common in this industry, payment in advance is required to officially secure your timeslot.

We also understand that hiring household support for the first time can feel vulnerable, and some new clients may prefer not to pay before meeting us. For introductory sessions, we’re happy to discuss payment upon arrival when needed for client comfort — we simply ask that this preference be communicated ahead of time so everyone can plan accordingly.

Clear communication helps us take care of our clients and the moms who make this work possible. 🫶🏻

One of the things I love most about building Busy Mom Solutions is that we get to see what motherhood and home management actually look like behind closed doors — and usually, the problem isn’t that a mom “doesn’t know how” to keep up.

Part 3: The Home

The way you care for your home can look completely different depending on whether you’re surviving, stabilizing, stewarding, or thriving.

And none of those seasons make you a better or worse mom.

In survival, the goal is simply to keep life moving.

Clean underwear.
Enough dishes for dinner.
A safe path through the living room.
Getting everyone through the day.

In stabilization, you start reducing the biggest sources of friction.

You catch up on laundry.
Clear the counter.
Create a home for the things that keep getting lost.

You’re not trying to organize everything.
You’re trying to make tomorrow easier.

In stewardship, your systems begin working for you.

Laundry has a rhythm.
The backpacks have a place.
You reset spaces before they become overwhelming.

Your home starts carrying some of the load.

And in thriving?

You have room to enjoy your home again.

You light the candle.
Hang the pictures.
Invite someone over.
Tackle the project you’ve been wanting to do.

Not because you finally became “good at keeping house.”

Because you have more capacity than you did before.

The goal isn’t a spotless home.

It’s a home that supports the season you’re actually in.

🩵 Full Month Ahead

As always, sessions are secured by paying the weekend before the scheduled sessions included in your chosen payment schedule.

Our hope is simply to make budgeting for household support a little easier and more flexible for the families we serve.

Part 2: Self-Care

One of the biggest differences between surviving, stabilizing, stewarding, and thriving isn’t whether you care about yourself.

It’s how much capacity you have LEFT to care for yourself.

In survival, self-care feels impossible.

A shower feels like a luxury.
You realize it’s 3:00 p.m. and you haven’t eaten lunch.
You collapse into bed without brushing your teeth because you gave everything you had to everyone else.

You’re not failing.

You’re depleted.

In stabilization, you begin meeting your own basic needs again.

You remember your water bottle.
You schedule a doctor’s appointment you’ve been putting off.
You take a shower before you absolutely have to.

Not because life suddenly got easier…

Because you’re slowly creating enough margin to breathe.

In stewardship, self-care becomes intentional instead of accidental.

You go for a walk because you know it helps your mood.
You meal prep because future-you deserves support.
You protect your bedtime.
You say “no” to things that consistently drain you.

You’re caring for yourself because you’ve learned your well-being affects everyone you love.

And in thriving?

Self-care isn’t another item on your to-do list.

It’s simply part of how you live.

You read a book because you enjoy it.
You laugh with a friend.
You take a bath without feeling guilty.
You pursue hobbies that remind you who you are outside of motherhood.

Not because you love your family any less…

Because you’ve finally realized that taking care of yourself allows you to love them even better.
