How do you identify scams doing covid-19 as a real estate agent ? Did you know that you are a prime target for scams largely because you have access to your clients’ information right in your computer, tablet and or your phone?

This valuable information may include closings and wiring transaction instructions for your client. The possibility of intercepting that process is very attractive to criminals.

How do you identify those things and protect yourself

Be careful with wiring instructions; be sure that your client has the correct wiring instructions.
Communicate to your clients regarding changes in instructions. If there are any changes in the wiring instructions that they are to pick up the phone and call the title company.
Check your email carefully for errors in spelling.
Confirm the url links provided to you via email are correct.
