May is Mental Health Awareness Month 🧠

Did you realize 1 in 5 adults experience mental illness annually and 1 in 6 children experience the same.
Our country has an alarming gap! Only 45% of adults will seek and receive treatment. 51% of children will receive help. The other half don’t have to struggle or suffer alone!

The goal of this month and my mission is to:
Reduce stigma and shame. 💚
Increase awareness. 💚
Be a resource to those in need. 💚

You are not alone!

April is Alcohol Awareness Month, a national campaign dedicated to increasing understanding of alcohol use, reducing stigma surrounding addiction, and educating communities on the risks of alcohol misuse. Its purpose is to promote prevention, encourage early intervention, and provide resources for treatment. Help is available!

In 2026, the primary problems with gambling center on the rapid digitization of the industry, which has transformed a localized activity into a constant, high-speed public health challenge. This causes early exposure, social isolation and complete saturation with gambling being shown every 13 seconds with certain sports. Brains are flooded with constant exposure and accessibility to gamble.

Help is available! Connecticut Council on problem gambling and MCCA are great resources. I also provide individual therapy that can focus on disordered gambling.
