Here’s to 2026 and all the amazingness it’s about to bring.
As I reflect on 2025, my hope is that you had opportunities to connect, collaborate, and truly network with one another—fostering meaningful relationships within our supportive community of Maine wedding professionals.
The mission of the Maine Wedding Network is simple and intentional:
to strengthen professional relationships, create mutual referrals, and learn about one another in ways that ultimately serve and support couples getting married in Maine.
Our core values guide everything we do:
• Community over competition
• Abundance
• Trust
• Love
Because I deeply believe in this mission and the power of our collective community, I’m thrilled to share some very exciting news.
As of January 1, 2026, the Maine Wedding Network will be partnering with two additional Maine Wedding business owners to help grow, market, and further expand the reach of MWN.
It is my pleasure to introduce Lana Allen (LAY-na), the heart and soul behind Sunflower Events, founded in 2022. Does her business tagline not fully embody the values of MWN?
“To bring people together through Maine’s rich heritage of food, music, and scenic views with each celebration.”
Lana’s presence is rooted in calmness, comfort, and genuine connection—a true reassurance to be around. When she’s not planning events, you’ll likely find her foraging for wild mushrooms, rescuing animals in need, cooking elaborate meals for her family, or spending time with her pets—Mr. T the tortoise and Lola the Frug (a Frenchie–pug mix).
I’m also excited to introduce Molly St. Hilaire, owner of Molly Eliza Creative Co.
Molly founded Molly Eliza Creative in 2023 to offer a more intentional way of documenting weddings, events, and brands, bringing real moments straight to your phone almost as quickly as they happen. She began her work in the wedding industry as the in house content creator for the venue Autumn Lane Estate and has since expanded her work to serve Maine brides and grooms as well as small business brands throughout the state.
As a mom of three, she is chronically capturing life as it unfolds, with a candid, unobtrusive approach that preserves meaningful moments without interrupting them, and she is excited to do the same for the wedding network.
Please join me in giving a warm welcome to Lana + Molly as they step into this next chapter with the Maine Wedding Network.
If you’re not already part of the conversation, be sure to join the Maine Wedding Network Facebook Group to stay connected, informed, and inspired.
Cheers to continued connection and community,
Kristina Slocum
