Who loves to camp? Who loves getting all prepped and organized for camping 🥰? Well I do too lol. I’m pretty much a minimalist when it comes to camping. I have two bins and a cooler that I’m used to taking that has everything needed for a weekend camping trip. I literally will prep everything needed and take freezer dried meals for quick meals and less cleanup.
Well this year is going to be a little different as we are camping with a family/friend group and my bf’s kids. Am I still going to be a minimalist on this trip? Yes I am, but in a sense that we are only bringing what is necessary for the kids and us. I’ve scoured the world of Pinterest ❤️ and have come up with some pretty neat ideas for organizing camping gear with a family. Here’s a few ideas that I can think of off the top of my head at the moment:
1- make a meal plan for the days you are camping as well as snacks and treats
2- check out your pantry and what’s on sale at grocery stores to help with costs
3- Pinterest has some great printables to help get you organized and prepped
4- don’t forget to check the weather where you’ll be camping so you can pack appropriate clothing
5-I like to pack meds, bug bite ointments, sunscreen, bug spray and an ouch kit in my kitchen bin
6- label your bins so you know where your items are at
7- take actual to go coffee mugs with lids. They can double for coffee or hot cocoa and they keep those pesky bugs out
8- 50/50 solution of pine-sol and water spray we’ll help keep flies away.
9- don’t have air mattresses for all the kids? Use pool floats
10- when going with a large group try doing potluck style dinners
Most importantly have fun with it and make it an adventure 🤩
Obviously there are many many more tips, tricks and hacks i use for camping but these are just off the top of my head before I start getting all out gear together. What are some tips or hacks y’all have when you go camping either alone, with family or with a group?
