🚐 A Huge Thank You to Start Charities!

Knights of Care is incredibly grateful to Fresh Start Charities, Chris Johnson, their board, founders, and everyone who helped make this possible for the generous donation of this Honda Odyssey to support our mission.

This is a major milestone for Knights of Care.

This van is not just a vehicle. It is the first vehicle in what we believe will become the Knights of Care Fleet of Hope.

Over the next little bit, we will be doing some work to get it ready for service. Then it will be fully wrapped and dressed as a Knights of Care / Fresh Start Charities vehicle.

Before long, you will see this van rolling through Lodi and San Joaquin County, helping provide safe, reliable transportation for dialysis patients, seniors, and veterans who need rides to medical appointments, essential services, and care.

We thank Fresh Start Charities for believing in Knights of Care, and we look forward to building a strong partnership as we continue to meet those in need throughout San Joaquin County.

💎 A Diamond Shield Rises

Today, Knights of Care is honored to recognize Nita Fain as our first Individual Diamond Level Donor.

This one means something special.

Nita was the inspiration behind Knights of Care. Her encouragement, belief, and heart for this mission helped spark the idea that became a real organization now serving seniors and veterans in our community.

Her generous support as our first Diamond donor does more than help fund rides. It strengthens the foundation of Knights of Care and helps us continue showing up for those who need safe, reliable transportation to medical appointments, essential services, and care.

⚔️ One Month on the Road

Knights of Care has officially completed our first full month of service.

In that first month, we provided:

🚗 27 rides
🛣️ 221 miles traveled
⏱️ 71.75 hours on the road

These numbers represent seniors, veterans, and community members who were able to get to medical appointments, essential services, and needed care because transportation was available when they needed it.

This first month proves what we already believed:

The need is real.
The mission is working.
And we are just getting started.

Every ride takes time, fuel, coordination, and care. Every donation helps keep the wheels turning and helps us say “yes” to the next person who needs a ride.

🚨 Day 21 – Still Waiting on CA DOJ… Still Serving 🚨

Yesterday we reached 20 rides for seniors and veterans in the Tracy–Lodi area.

That’s 20 people who made it to medical appointments, pharmacy trips, and essential errands that otherwise may not have happened.

And we’re not slowing down.

While we continue to wait on CA DOJ approval, Knights of Care is already in motion—serving, building relationships, and proving the need every single day.

A huge thank you to Enterprise—especially the Tracy and Lodi teams. Their staff has been outstanding and has helped us stay operational when it matters most.

Here’s the reality:
We’re moving forward—but we can’t do it alone.
