EVENT UPDATE: DACA BLUEPRINTS & BUCKSHOT

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will be postponing our Blueprints & Buckshot Sporting Clays Event until the spring.

We are currently working with Bald Mountain Shooting Range to finalize a new date and expect to announce the rescheduled event later this week.

All registered shooters and sponsors have been contacted directly regarding refunds or the option to hold their spot for the new event date.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s understanding and continued support.

We are looking forward to bringing Blueprints & Buckshot back in the spring and hope to see you there!

GET MORE INVOLVED WITH DACA — JOIN THE MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE!

DACA continues to grow, and we’re looking for a few additional members who want to play a more active role in helping strengthen our organization and our AEC community.

The DACA Membership Committee is looking for volunteers to help us welcome new members, engage with our existing membership, and continue building a stronger and more connected organization.

Why join the Membership Committee?
1. Build stronger relationships with fellow DACA members
2. Be one of the first to connect with new members joining the organization
3. Expand your network across Michigan’s architecture, engineering and construction community
4. Help shape the member experience and contribute ideas for continued growth
5. Increase your visibility and involvement within DACA
6. Help grow an organization that creates meaningful connections and opportunities for our industry

The time commitment is manageable; approximately 90 minutes per week, plus a 30-minute committee call every other week.

You don’t need years of DACA experience to participate. We’re looking for members who are engaged, enjoy connecting people, and want to help make DACA even stronger.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the DACA Leadership Forum at The Iroquois Club.

Our keynote speaker was Bill Ballenger, one of Michigan's most respected political analysts, for "Decision 2026: Michigan's Political Outlook."

Bill walked the room through the current issues that will shape Michigan's direction in the elections, and what they could mean for the business and construction community.

A big thank you to Bill Ballenger for his insight, to The Iroquois Club for hosting, and to every member and guest who came out.

Huge thanks to The Brinker Group for hosting our August Job Site Walk at the Detroit Horse Power project! Our DACA crew got the full story behind the build and left fired up to see it finished 💪

Then we headed to The Dakota Inn Rathskeller for German food, cold b**r, and networking that turned into a full-on singalong by the end of the night 🎹🍺

We also welcomed a bunch of new faces this month, several already asking about membership 👀
