Tryon Volunteers are selling raffle tickets for 2 different items. Contact a Volunteer for a ticket or two. Also being sold at Neal Oil, Prairie Hills Cafe, The Lodge and K&C Feeds in Tryon. They won't last long.

From all the information I am receiving, the smoke everyone is seeing and smelling is coming from Halsey forest. They are doing a prescribed burn again.

McPherson Co EMTs learned a new skill today. Starting IVs. So proud of our small group and their willingness to continue their education. Special thank you to Life Net's Bre & Shay for training, Wynn Wiens and Lawrence Stump for helping and letting us use their arms and Rachael Kemp, Jay Powers and Kinnley Powers for being our human pin cushions.

We would like to thank everyone, from the bottom of our hearts, that came out and supported the volunteers on Saturday. Without you the purchase of some life saving equipment and the new ambulance (coming spring 2026) would not be possible. 🥰🥰

The governor has extended the burn ban until May 20th. It also includes camp fires, burn pits and burn barrels not just fires that require a burn permit.
