Ron Eyester

Ron Eyester Once a chaotic (& usually drunk) chef chasing control in a kitchen. Now a sober founder building culture through clarity, humility & real leadership. Still loud.

CEO of Black Licorice—consulting w/ edge, purpose & lived experience. Just more grounded. Like many other chefs and restaurant owners, I used to spend far too many hours a day in a restaurant. I have seen both the best, and the worst of what this industry has to offer, and I am now forging a new path and I am excited to hopefully have the opportunity to share one of my food curated experiences with you.

"Telling" gets it done faster.
"Coaching" takes time — but it builds something better.

The truth? Coaching takes patience.
It means slowing down when everything around you feels urgent.
It means asking questions instead of giving answers.
It means letting others struggle a little — so they can grow a lot.

But the payoff is real:
🟡 Stronger habits
🟡 Smarter decisions
🟡 Sustainable leadership

Telling fixes the moment.
Coaching develops the future.

At Black Licorice we're committed to the idea of collaboration and curating programming that is best suited for the needs of you and your team - that's how we build something better.
