THE TOXINS OF THE HOUSE :

1. Objects you no longer use.
2. Clothes you do not like or have not used in a while.
3. Broken things.
4. Old cards and notes.
5. Plants that are dead or sick.
6. Receipts and old magazines.
7. Shoes that are broke or not longer fit.
8. Toys that are not used, that do not work, or are broken.

WITH CLEANING THEM OUT:

1. Health improves.
2. Creativity grows.
3. Relationships get better.
4. There is greater reasoning capacity.
5. Improved mood.

QUESTIONS THAT MIGHT HELP CLEANSING:

1. Why am I saving that?
2. How will I feel if I release that?

INSIDE CLEANING REFLECTED OUTSIDE:

1. Avoid extreme noises.
2. Less strong lights.
3. Less saturated colors.
4. Less chemical odors.
5. Less sad memories.
6. Finish unfinished projects.
7. Cultivate positive energy in your home.

Do a general cleaning and use boxes for organization. Start with drawers and cabinets and conclude each piece, do everything at your pace...

1. Trash.
2. Sell.
3. Recycling.
4. In doubt.
5. Gifts.
6. Donation.

As you CLEANSE, watch what changes in you.

As we clean our physical house, we also place order to our mind and heart.

Practice detachment with material things that just fill your space and you will start to feel lighter and less stressed.

Once you start the habit of decluttering 10-15 minutes per day, and/or an hour on your day off, it will become an automatic thing to do and before you know it, your house will be clutter free. However….the secret is to keep up the routine of decluttering. For example, I have set things I do daily, weekly, monthly, etc… and I am now going through everything again like closets, drawers, and so forth - it is so easy to slip back into shoving things into hidden spots (out of sight, out of mind). If you continue to have a schedule to sort through areas, your house will pretty much stay decluttered. Being decluttered helps boost your mood in a positive way. Trust me, I know first hand what it is like to live in a cluttered / over crowded / messy place. You will feel so much better getting rid of / donating / trashing / selling all of the items you no longer use / need. Start small today and make your spaces as well as yourself happy.
