As part of the continuing birthday month celebration I attended for my writing time. I decided as I am celebrating the ending of one year into the beginning of the next, I would put disciplines back into my life that awaken the deepest parts of my soul.

Writing does that for me.

We had our first Whole Soul Finance Chat at Fulton Street Books & Cafe this past Thursday.

I lead off one of the conversations with this:

"Would you be a trust fund baby if you knew you had to give up who you actually are for that money?

What if I told you that is already happening when you react to unexpected things happening in your finances?"

It was a lovely, intimate conversation where we talked about what everyone was truly concerned about when it came to making money moves that are aligned with their values, priorities and stage of life they are in right now.

I'm thinking that this will be a monthly conversation. And I'd like to open it virtually for those who don't live in Tulsa.

After church today I spent 3 hours setting up a recording space.

Now I just bought my camera, so I still have to learn more about using it.

However, I know creating content requires a system. Getting the lighting, distance, microphone and all the things working before I start the "real" recording is important.

Why?

So the system's capacity doesn't stop creation and distribution. The three hours today will save me many hours in the future messing with correct lighting, etc.

The same is true with finances.

I create a sexy spending plan so I can make decisions based on values and priorities for me and those assigned to me at this part of my journey.

Spending plans allow me to know what is an enthusiatic YES! and unapologetic no, without making excuses either way. The, "I don't have money for it", becomes, "it's not a priority right now" or "it doesn't align with my values".

Today is a day of focus and intention. From my church's visi9n day and word of the year to the planning foe the week after this session around intention.

Being mindful about making and managing money creates a rhythm of flow that you can navigate no matter what lofe throws at you!

Today I am doing the work I have our clients do.

Reflect, Review, Adjust and Re-engage.

Going to review the vision I wrote to see what far I have come. And to see what I am being led to add.

Reviewing my values and priorities of this season of my life AND the stage my business occupies.

ReEngaging this year includes planning with the divine and executing in a meaningful and intentional way.

Reflecting and remembering that every movement has a sound. Thank you for the reminder.

Merry Christmas from the Riviera Godwin family.

For those of you grieving, we grieve with you.
For those who are rejoicing, we rejoice.
For everyone in between, we are there with you as well.

I've been watching the Christmas holiday movies. Most show family going back to a family home for a gathering. Except Die Hard and The Godfather movies. (And yes those are Christmas movies.....fight me.)

I have no family home to go back to.
My kids don't have a family home to go back to.

That used to make me so sad, until this year. My third Christmas in Tulsa.

I am more content than I have ever been.

Both of my kids are with framily they have found despite everything we and they individually have walked through.

I truly understand that home is wherever I am because Emmanuel is with me and within me.

I love it here because I am loved here. Wherever on the planet I am.

May God's love and peace be with you as He is with you today and every day from now.

I am thanking God in advance for the 1,000 women who will participate in the Position 4 Profit Intensives and workshops so they are manging finances with a Whole Soul and diverse portfolio.
All so they can fund their lifestyle for their lifetime and leave an inheritance that is meaningful for the people and causes they love.

Day 2 Countdown....

Let's talk about the B word.....
No not the one that would have me pull my earrings off....

The other B word....BUDGET

You know some insight about why budgets don't necessary work well for some folks? Because they are designed to have you conform to what the best practices are. They are challenging to stick to because they are not anchored in the three things that can help transform your mindset and motivations around what's absolutely possible with your finances.

Those three things are:
1. Vision
2. Values
3. Priorities

When you make financial decisions that are values aligned and priorities driven, you can more easily spend wisely, invest, pay down debt and save for future opportunities. Why? Because your budget truly reflects:
1. Who you are in the present
2. What's important to you in this season and stage of your life
3. Where you want to go in the future (and the future could be 90 days from today).

The container that holds all of this is your vision. Vision gives meaning to the mundane.

And believe me, sometimes budgeting can be mundane.
But it can also lead you to managing your finances from the joy of missing out (JOMO) instead of the fear of missing out (FOMO)!

So let's use that B word regularly with passion, purpose and profit!

In 9 days I will be 61.

This question has been on my mind since it dropped into my consciousness this morning:
"What does wisdom look like?"

I decided this would be the backdrop to my birthday photo shoot.

My words from this year forward are:
Settled and Ascended.

Settled in my soul as I am more clear and anchored in my identity and assignment.

Ascended because I am seated in heavenly places which requires a higher perspective for the things I encounter as I navigate my one and only beautiful life.

Happy to bring as many on this adventure with me!
