This is by far one of the coolest projects I've worked on. While on my last short-term missions appointment in Malawi, I worked on designs for their upcoming 40th Anniversary celebration.
One of those projects was designing the chitenje (ch-ten-gee) fabric for the church. As part of their culture, many celebrations are marked by specially designed fabric. Weddings, family celebrations, funerals, church events...many times have their own distinct chitenje design. The fabric is sold and used to make dresses, skirts, shirts, and chitenjes (cloth wraps for the women).
I'm so honored to have been part of the preparations for this awesome celebration of the UPC Church of Malawi. I still can't get how over cool it is to see it actually in print and on the fabric!

Nothing compares to walking into a village church in Malawi and seeing a precious lady wearing a shirt I designed.

Was it the most elaborate thing I’ve ever designed? No. Was it the most time consuming? Absolutely not. But it was definitely the most rewarding.

It was a pleasure working with John on a logo and business cards for his new business!

We love seeing customers use their new logo to further their brand. John took his design and had it embroidered on work shirts.

We had a lot of fun working with Art Creations by Vicky on this logo design.
Vicky is a mixed media, assemblage artist. She had a specific vision for her logo, using her original artwork. With a few sessions back and forth we were able to come up with a design to capture the essence of her business.
