This photo never got posted, so I'm playing catch-up... & being sure to share the news of awesome people doing awesome things!

Northshore Trashformation & Slidell Synch welcomed Emma Jean to assist them at the old Kingspoint Soccer Fields in Slidell, LA to do a little clean-up.

They collected 42.43 lbs in about an hour!

Litter-pick on the north end of Maxwell Loop Rd from Old Greensboro Rd to Sunnyland Dr.

2 people, 3.5 hours = 57.44 lbs of litter + some type of metal frame that we didn't weigh.

There was a lot of trash this time, more than our last litter-pick of the area, which makes us sad & a lot of little pieces that weren't picked up before someone used a mower or w**d eater 😔🤦🏼🙄.

We still need to return to pick from Old Greensboro Rd to Hwy 69 S., but that will be for another day.

Visited Thomas Rd. again from Windswept Dr. to Old Greensboro Rd. = 47.46 lbs totaling 518 pieces of deleted litter. It's been just shy of 4 months since the last cleanup on that stretch. I'd say the area has made some improvements, but still has a lot of work to go!

Also a BIG thanks to The Kneading Grace for the delicious treat when they saw us at work! Look them up, try them out, support local! We will for sure be back!

First time to the scrap yard to recycle some aluminum cans, metal shreds, & stainless steel! It was so exciting to find another way to do the right thing & recycle more items where we can!

Also, who knew it could be therapeutic to chunk metal into a pile of other metal 🤣!

$10.50 for 15 lbs of aluminum cans
$28.00 for 140 lbs of stainless steel
$58.00 for 580 lbs of metal shreds

= $96.50 for other people's litter!

Quick/short cleanups, not even full blocks of Stanley St., Liberty Ln., Holly Dr., & Longleaf Ln. In Slidell, LA.

Finds of the day were the kids toys found covered up in a ditch & in the road.
..All for the beauty of nature.

This little buddy followed me up and down the road while I was litter picking & then returned home.

Was requested out on Maxwell Loop Rd again, so I answered the call to serve the community! If we all just came together, we could help spread the word & actions of keeping our community clean!

40.02 lbs today in just over a mile stretch of road. One way down the road, & then back up = 2.18 miles.

What gets me the most is all the litter literally around the Please Do Not Litter sign.

Let's do better!
