But it’s so nice out!

…because if I don’t look at the clutter, it technically doesn’t exist, right? 😅

Unfortunately, that’s not how organizing works.

We recently had a client reach out asking for help making better sense of their seasonal clothing rotation. Some of the clothes are in their home and the rest are being stored in an offsite storage location. We added additional hanging space and shelving to make things easier to zone. The end result = simpler systems and happy clients. Ready to make your closet more functional. Visit my links to set up your consultation.

No more closet space? No problem, thanks to the overlooked area under your bed.

Overcomplicated organizing is the reason most systems fail.
Simple works. Simple lasts.
But only if it actually solves a problem in your home.

Things getting in the way of staying organized (and how to fix it):
1. Too much stuff
You can’t organize excess. Period. When your space is overfilled, no system will hold.
The Fix: Start with editing, not organizing. Remove what you don’t use, love, or need first—then organize what’s left.
2. No clear systems
If everything doesn’t have a “home,” it ends up everywhere.
The Fix: Create simple, obvious systems. Think: labeled bins, designated zones, and making it easier to put things away than to leave them out.
3. Overcomplicating it
If your system requires too many steps, you won’t stick to it (and neither will your family).
The Fix: Simplify. Fewer categories, fewer containers, and quick reset routines you can actually maintain.
4. Not adjusting to life’s transitions
What worked last season might not work now—and that’s normal.
The Fix: Reevaluate your systems during life changes (new job, kids’ schedules, moves, etc.) and adjust instead of forcing old routines to fit.
5. No shared responsibility
If one person is responsible for everything, the system will break. Fast.
The Fix: Make organizing a household standard. Everyone should know where things go and be responsible for maintaining it.

✨ Organization isn’t about perfection—it’s about creating systems that support your real life.

Save this for your next reset.
