CFL Doulas CFL Doulas is here to serve all of the families of Central FL with love, compassion and an open mind.

We have a flat rate of $1,500 for full comprehensive Doula support from highly trained and experienced Doulas. Each Doula who serves through CFL Doulas took an extensive 18 month mentorship/apprenticeship style training program through the In Joy Birth mentorship program, learning hands on through seasoned experts. They each practiced for several years and have served dozens of families before joining CFL Doulas. We believe in building better, more effective Doulas through adequate training and support and guidance. The Doulas are trained to be part of the birthing team and not us vs. them and have great working relationships with the staff and hospitals in CFL as well as the out of hospital community. Tell us where to show up, how to best support you and we'll take care of the rest. You get to pick your Doula and her back up, just in case, for a flat rate fee of only $1,500 for 2 extensive prenatal visits, all of the labor and birth and 2 postpartum visits to ensure support through your entire journey. We offer placenta services, childbirth education classes, postpartum/night nanny care & everything in between.

🚨 BIRTH NEWS: What happened after the ARRIVE trial?

The 2018 ARRIVE trial changed the conversation around elective induction at 39 weeks. A 2024 study published in Birth looked at 10,821 low risk, first time births to see what happened in real world hospital settings afterward.

Researchers found:

✨ Labor induction increased from 14.7% to 22.8%.

✨ Overall C section rates slightly decreased from 20.2% to 19.2%.

✨ After adjusting for other factors, induction was associated with 67% higher odds of C section.

Importantly, studies following ARRIVE haven’t all found the same results. Some have found an association between increased induction and C section, while others have found stable or reduced C section rates.

Essentially, this shows an important point: outcomes from controlled studies don’t always translate directly into real world practice.

Another VITAL piece these studies don’t answer: How do moms describe their birth experience and satisfaction after elective induction compared with spontaneous labor?

Birth outcomes are important, but the experience of the person giving birth matters, too!

Teacher Spotlight: Lisa Rosen ✨

From sunrise walks and runs along Lake Monroe to tending a garden full of zinnias and the wildlife they attract, Lisa finds joy in the beauty of the natural world. She loves to travel, learn, and explore, with a trip to Chiang Mai on the horizon in 2027. But despite her love of being outside, she’ll happily admit she’s terrified of snakes and frogs. 😅

When she’s not teaching, you’ll find Lisa catching a sunrise, spending time in her garden, or enjoying a coffee, tea, *or* matcha. Her answer: yes, please!

Lisa’s hope for every class is simple: that you leave feeling like rolling out your mat was a really good idea, with no regrets about how you just spent the last hour.

We’re so grateful to have Lisa in our Magnolia community. 💛
