Five years ago, I said yes to something that felt big and scary. I launched Masterpiece Financial Coaching officially in December 2020 because I wanted (and still do) to help women learn to use money as a tool to help live their best lives, and to reduce stress.

Helping people feel better about their finances, save, and do things they love is why I do this work. Because money is emotional, it’s more than numbers. When we feel safe and learn that every financial “mistake” is fixable, we feel empowered to do things differently.

What started as a passion has grown into a business that I truly love. Thanks to the friends who coached and pushed me to get started. And to the first clients to believe in me…☺️ I’ve continued to learn, stretch, and grow along the way. And the best part? I get to help others realize that we’re all learning and growing too. That’s life, right?

As we celebrate Black History Month, love, and my upcoming birthday—stay tuned for more details, including a FREE five-day challenge as my gift to you.

Here’s my first picture, no brand photo shoot, no perfect angle…just me and my ring light deciding to just go for it.

Here’s to five years in business, five years of growth, and the journey still unfolding. I’m excited for what’s to comeome! 🥂✨

May today greet you with clarity, determination, and positive vibes. There’s so much going on in the world today, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. We are a little more than a week into the new year, and you told yourself this is the year you’re finally going to get your finances in order.

You’ve saved the Instagram tips. You’ve downloaded the apps. You’ve tried the spreadsheets, the challenges, the “just stop spending” advice.

And yes—there’s no shortage of free information out there. Plenty of DIY courses, budgeting apps, and money gurus telling you how to cut back, save more, and stay consistent.

But the women who come to me usually arrive after they’ve tried all of that… and it still didn’t stick.

Maybe the app was too confusing to keep up with. Maybe the spreadsheets felt like another full-time job. Maybe the advice just didn’t fit your real life — your career, your responsibilities, your lifestyle.

Because what works for everyone doesn’t always work for you.

That’s where I come in. I’ve been where you are and I am now a financial coach on a mission to help others. I don’t do cookie-cutter money plans. I look at your full picture and help you build systems that make sense for your life, your goals, and your finances.

This is the work I do with my clients—and it looks different for every woman I serve. That’s why it works.

So instead of spending January testing another one-size-fits-all solution…

Schedule a quick call to discuss getting the support that’s built for you.

Let’s make sure this is truly the year you stop trying everything—and finally get a real handle on your money.

Thank you to The Community Builders for the opportunity to host a financial literacy workshop "Holiday Money Moves: How to Create and Stick to Your Holiday Budget."

With Christmas just a few weeks away, now is the perfect time to become intentional about your holiday spending. Our Holiday Money Moves workshop walked participants through how to create a realistic holiday budget—and more importantly, how to stick to it.

We covered simple strategies to help with planning ahead, prioritizing what matters most, and avoiding the debt or “holiday hangover” that often follows the festive season. I also provided a free Christmas budget planner for those last minute shoppers - so they can make a list and check it twice.

If you'd like a copy of the planner, simply comment below or send me a DM and it's yours. 🎁 Here's to less stress and more peace this holiday season.

✨ Hello November!! Month 11 of 12...

Here's Your November Reminder: Sis, it’s okay to say no.

No to the invitations, expectations, and obligations that drain your peace, your time, or your money. This month, start saying yes to what fills you up — rest, purpose, alignment, and growth.

November is your permission slip to protect your energy, your boundaries, and your goals. Because every “no” to what drains you is a powerful “yes” to the life you’re building.

It’s time to rest, reset, and remember - you don’t have to do it all.💜

Sis, I get it. Sometimes the thought of logging in feels heavier than it should. You’ve been juggling work, life, family, and everything in between.

But here’s the truth: avoiding your account doesn’t change what’s there — it just keeps you stuck in the same cycle. 💔

Let’s change that narrative together.

Here are 3 gentle steps to start facing your finances without fear:

1️⃣ Breathe first. Take a deep breath before opening your account — you’re in control.
2️⃣ Look, don’t judge. Check your balance and review your last few transactions. No shame, just awareness.
3️⃣ Set a plan. Once you know where you stand, decide on one small action, like tracking your spending for a week or moving $20 to savings.

Remember, progress starts with peeking not perfection. 👀💪🏾 You’ve got this. You’re learning. You’re growing.

✨ Save this post and come back to it the next time you feel anxious about checking your bank account. 💰

I’ve been struggling with content lately. I could not seem to get clear on my messaging. I prayed and asked God for clarity, I attended a conference, I networked and continued to work but something just felt off.

In the midst of everything going on, I heard God say to focus on what truly matters: family, experiences, health, relationships - and things began to shift.

As I reflect on this year, my heart is full of gratitude. For the highs and the lows. The good and the bad. Even when things haven’t worked out exactly how I wanted them to. I’m thankful.

I was blessed to spend the past few days in Mexico, living and enjoying the good life. And it has been magical.

God met me here. In my solitude and with my sisters. Through moments of dancing and moments of rest. This was just what I needed.

I haven’t “made it” I still have work to do. But the clarity I have been seeking has been here all along. I just needed to slow down to receive it.

So here’s a reminder for the woman who’s in the thick of it- remember that God sees you, and He loves you.

Philippians 4:6 – Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

You are worthy of financial peace, success, and joy.

Let’s keep rising together—building wealth, focusing on things that matter most, and living a life we love. 💕

The government shutdown is still going, three weeks have passed and my heart goes out to all of the government employees impacted by this situation.

Those who are furloughed and those who are working without a paycheck. I really hope this ends soon and you are compensated quickly and fairly.

If your paycheck has stopped, how are y holding up?

Here’s a quick tip: Communicate

Pick up the phone and call your mortgage lender, credit card company, or utility provider.

Let them know that you are impacted by the government shutdown. Ask is they fan help you.

Many creditors have hardship programs, available, but you must ask.

Tak action. Make the calls. Do what you need to do to protext yourself.

Stay strong!

How will the government shutdown affect your finances?

There's a lot of information online about this, and it can be super confusing and overwhelming.

First, if you receive essential services (Medicaid, Snap, etc) those should continue with no interruption.

Also, If you are a government worker and you’ve been furlowed, or you’re experienng a layoff - I’m sorry. I hope the 3 tips below will help you to get started:

1. Go through your bank and credit card statements and comb through your expense. Reduce or cancel anything nonessential if possible.
2. Build a budget! Yes, you NEED a budget!!!! Your budget is permission to spend; use it to make sure your bills are paid and to manage your day-to-day financial decisions.
3. Make a plan. Take a few minutes each week to update and track your numbers. Decide if you will need to contact creditors, or what adjustments you’ll need to make.

Hopefully the shut down won’t last long, but it’s better to be prepared.

I’m here to help if you need me! Schedule a free call to discuss your situation or questions, link is in the comments.

🍂✨ Fall is here and so is Q4! ✨🍂

Sis, this is the season of fresh starts and renewed energy. Just like we reset our homes and routines when the season changes, it’s also the perfect time to reset our money goals. October is the perfect time to write a new story.

Q4 isn’t just the last quarter of the year—it’s where we build momentum. It’s when we decide if we’re going to coast into the holidays or show up with focus and intention to finish the year strong.

Busy moms, working women, all of us who’ve been juggling everything—it’s time to pause, refocus, and get back to the goals we set earlier this year. Whether it’s paying down debt, saving more, or finally sticking to that budget, you still have time to make big progress in 2025.

Don’t wait for January to start over. 🍁 Start now and let’s finish this year with purpose, peace, and progress.

💡 What’s one financial goal you’re ready to lock in on for the rest of the year?
