84% of employees and managers say soft skills are imperative for new hires.
That’s from a recent study of organizations with 500+ people. And 71% expect soft skills to matter just as much, or more, in the future.
That's why soft skills are a big part of what's being taught in the room at The Counselor Salesperson™ Master Class in Boston this week.
One idea being shared in the room: The Bicycle Model.
Picture a bicycle:
1️⃣ The front wheel is soft skills. It steers: listening, trust, good questions.
2️⃣ The back wheel is technical skills. It drives: product, process, expertise.
3️⃣ Both wheels have to turn, or the rider goes nowhere.
A rep with only technical skill has power and no direction.

The Counselor Salesperson approach puts both wheels to work in every buyer conversation. That’s how technical knowledge turns into trust, and trust into sales.
