Help Wanted:

Shop assistant needed for busy marina located on the edge of Crystal Lake & Cary, IL. Hours are typically Tuesday - Friday 9-4 with a possible Saturday morning needed here or there, but it’s rare. Duties would vary from light mechanical work, assisting mechanics on various jobs, trailer repairs, mounting wheels, and keeping the shop cleaned up and in order. 2007 Starcraft Elite 226 Pontoon Boat - $13,750

Powered by a Mercury 60hp EFI 4-Stroke with only 311, low RPM, hours on it.

New full mooring cover in 2021 with zipper side entrance for easy access into the boat from the dock. Dual battery system with battery switch. Seat are in 10+ condition with no rips or tears.

Customer Service/Service Counter/Service Writer

Looking for someone with superb customer service skills to help run the front end day-to-day operations of a busy repair business. Hours are typically Tuesday -Friday with some half Saturdays required in the spring and fall.

Previous experience in reading parts schematics, ordering parts and any previous wrenching experience would be great, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Warning ⚠️
Girls work at this marina! And we don’t just answer the phone, ring up customers and clean up around the shop.

Despite being girls, we are mechanically inclined and wrench on boats daily. So we please ask that if we do answer your calls, or ask how we can help you, that you please be kind and respectful.

Please don’t ask for a mechanic, and when we ask “how can we help?”, proceed to laugh at us like there is no way we have the mechanical knowledge that you are seeking.

Please don’t make rude comments like “your hands aren’t dirty enough to wrench” or “I see the ball and chain is here today.”

When we ask a question about your boat when taking a service order, don’t look away and give the answer to the male mechanic who may be standing in the room.

Be nice to us and pay us compliments, because we just might be the one working on your boat… and I’m sure you would like to go boating sometime this summer.

It’s terrible all of this even needs to be said. It’s 2023 and ! If you don’t like strong smart women wrenching on your boat please know we aren’t the shop for you.
