Networking requires vigilance.

There are many nonverbal cues that can be missed, like body language, facial expressions, and discreet eye movements.

Recently, while networking, I observed:
- Someone constantly checking his phone
- A person trying to maintain multiple conversations at once
- A professional dozing off during a Zoom meeting

Always be observant while networking.

Being attentive to your surroundings will improve your ability to engage in effective communication.
