💭 Something worth thinking about the next time you place an order…
Sometimes buying local costs a few dollars more.
And we get it. "Price matters". Every business has a budget, and nobody wants to spend more than they have to.
But there’s another side of that price tag we don’t always think about.
When you spend money with a "local business", those dollars have a much better chance of showing back up in the community around you.
They become the sponsorship on a youth baseball jersey. ⚾
The donation to a school fundraiser. 🎓
The banner hanging at Friday night’s game. 🏈
The contribution to a police, fire, or first responder event. 🚓🚒
The support behind a local nonprofit, benefit, chamber event, festival, or family going through a difficult time.
Small businesses are constantly being asked to give back; "and so many of them do."
So maybe the local company is $3, $5, or $10 higher on an order.
The question isn't always just, “Where can I get this cheapest?”
Sometimes it's worth asking:
“Where does my money go after I spend it?”
Because when our local businesses disappear, we don't just lose another place to buy something.
**We lose sponsors. We lose donors. We lose local jobs. We lose people who answer when the community asks for help.**
We're not saying you have to buy everything locally. That's not realistic.
We're simply asking everyone..... businesses and individuals alike; to give local companies the opportunity to earn your business.
Get the quote. Make the phone call. Give them a chance.
Because that extra couple of bucks might seem small when you're buying paper towels, cleaning supplies, lunch, insurance, tires, or anything else…
But put enough of those dollars together, and they become the money that allows a local business to say “YES” the next time your school, team, organization, or community asks for help.
