We work quickly... What can I say? Here we are applying powdered lime with drop spreaders to knock back the moss in this lawn.

What can be done about moss, you ask? There are ways. This is powdered (or pulverized) lime. I will also sometimes use a liquid concentrated calcium to knock back the moss.

This is what you call an Aera-vator. It is an advanced soil aeration machine. It fractures the soil while simultaneously shaking the seed into contact with the soil. Ellie has been my main aera-vator operator for the last two years. She does a great job. This slo-mo video illustrates the side-to-side motion of the hardened steel tines. It would break up asphalt if you wanted it to.

We just put the first application down on this property. It was a combination of liquid concentrated calcium with micronutrients and iron. As it was the first treatment, and had quite a few broadleaf w**ds, we also mixed in a selective broadleaf w**d control. They should be seeing some marked improvement within the next couple of weeks. The clouds and the sun rays with the view were especially beautiful that day.
