Traffic Announcement

If you are planning on attending the Grape Festival or driving in the area. The one and only entrance to the Free Grape Festival parking will be off of Hwy 412. To enter the free parking, you will need to turn North on Barrington. This road will be closed to through traffic and will be open to festival parking only.
Once on Barrington just follow the signs for free parking.
When it is time to leave the festival, you will exit out the same entrance you came in but you will have to make a right (northbound) turn onto Barrington. From there you will either have to make a left turn on Sbanotto (by the Winery) or continue to Hwy 112 to get back to Hwy 412.

Hope to see everyone out next week and have a safe and fun Grape Festival.

Also, please remember the Run for the Grapes is scheduled Saturday morning August 8th.

Closures for thru traffic will include the Barrington, Baker, Ardemagni, Sbanotto, the 5K loop (beginning and ending just south of Knights of Columbus Hall) Estimated time this should affect traffic is from 6:45am-8:30am.

Traffic can turn north onto Barrington from 412 but will only be able to go as far as the festival parking. Northbound Barrington past the parking will remain closed until approximately 8:30am.

DRIVERS BEWARE!!!!
National speed mobilization runs July 10–31, and we know some of you have been waiting all year to test the limits of your car’s horsepower. Please don’t. Our officers will be out making sure everyone keeps their enthusiasm and their speed under control.

During this mobilization, we’ll be focusing on the basics: the speed limit signs you pass every day, the ones you pretend not to see, and the ones you swear “weren’t there yesterday.” They were. They still are. And for the next few weeks, we’ll be giving them the attention they deserve.

If you’re feeling the urge to reenact a Fast & Furious audition, we strongly recommend saving that energy for Mario Kart, where the worst consequence of reckless driving is getting hit with a blue shell. Out here, the consequences are a little more
 paperwork‑heavy.

Drive safe, slow down, and help us keep the roads calm, predictable, and blissfully free of impromptu drag races.

Here is an accident we worked this morning. We see some of our worst accidents during the morning and afternoon commutes to/from work due to the high traffic volume and the rush to get to the destination on time. Slow down, watch your surroundings, and be alert, especially during the busy rush hours to make sure you get where you are going safely!

🎆 Fourth of July Reminder 🎆
As we roll into the holiday, a quick note about fireworks: if yours sound like a Civil War reenactment, please don’t message us asking whether they’re “legal.” You already know the answer. And yes—believe it or not we can hear them too.

We love celebrating Independence Day as much as anyone, but please keep it safe, keep it respectful, and try not to launch anything that could be mistaken for incoming artillery. Your neighbors (and their dogs) will appreciate it.

Have a great 4th, Tontitown. Celebrate responsibly, enjoy the festivities, and remember: if it goes boom, crack, or WHOOSH, it probably doesn’t need our professional evaluation.

And for those who’ve been passionately correcting us in the comments lately please refer to our hiring post. We still have an open position, and clearly some of you already believe you can do the job. Might as well make it official. We’d honestly love to have you! Your enthusiasm would fit right in.
