This little part can shut down your whole AC.
It's the condensate drain line — the little PVC pipe carrying water away from your indoor unit. In Jacksonville humidity it grows algae, clogs, and trips the float switch. System shuts off. Homeowner assumes the AC died.
Pour a cup of white vinegar down the drain-line access every couple of months. Thirty seconds. Prevents one of our most common service calls.
Ever had your AC mysteriously quit on the hottest day of the year? Good chance this was why — drop it in the comments.
Send this to the neighbor whose AC "mysteriously" quit last summer.
