For those following along with our Cessna 175 rebuild/restomod project, here is a quick update. The firewall had substantial damaged so we removed it and will be installing a new old stock firewall. While we are in here we are cleaning substantial amounts of grime out, treating some hidden corrosion, and replacing all four engine mount brackets to comply with AD 2016-14-05, since they were all cracked to some degree. Still more clean up to go while we wait for parts to arrive.

1 x USED great condition dual CGR kit with all probes and sensors for 4 cylinder Lycoming (out of a 172). Includes EI's Magnetic fuel senders designed for standard 172L 21 gallon tanks.

Big news from Six Pack Aero!

First and foremost, we want to extend a massive thank you to our amazing community and customers. For years, you trusted us to craft replacement instrument panels as owner-produced parts for your Cessna 150, 152, and 172 aircraft, and you helped put our Legacy XL Stationary Panel kit on the map. We wouldn’t be where we are today without your support.

With the launch of the new Garmin AXIS system, our replacement stationary panel STC is now officially listed as an acceptable means of compliance to alter the instrument panel to fit AXIS in Cessna 172 aircraft! Because of this milestone—and our growth into an active Part 145 Repair Station and Garmin Dealer—we are officially making a strategic shift.

What’s changing: We are sunsetting our owner-produced panel fabrication service.

Where we’re heading: We are sharpening 100% of our focus on supporting our Part 145 operations and meeting the surging demand for our Legacy XL Stationary Panel STC (supporting the Garmin AXIS and other Garmin flight displays certified for the C172).

What does this mean? While we still specialize in airframe and avionics upgrades for Cessna 172 aircraft, our capabilities have expanded. We are have grown into a full service avionics facility offering avionics upgrades on all unpressurized light GA aircraft under 12,500 lbs. We also provide 91.411 and 91.413 Static, Altimeter, and Transponder checks. We are now scheduling IFR and VRF certs at our KBLI facility.

First power up of Garmin Aviation AXIS today. Watching this start up screen for the first time was exciting, and now we can’t wait to fly behind it! We will be installing this in our 172L Dorothy, thanks to the Legacy XL Stationary Panel, which provides a path for installing the 11.6 inch display in Cessna 172 models E-M. The AXIS installation manual calls out this STC as a solution for fitting this flight display in these models.
