Oakes & Parkhurst Glass is proud to announce Calvin Samson as the Employee of the Quarters December 2025 – May 2026.
Calvin joined O&P Glass in June of 2023 as our Office Manager and HR Coordinator and quickly grew into the role of full-time Bookkeeper. While many people would view such a significant transition as a challenge, Calvin embraced it with professionalism, adaptability, and a genuine desire to learn. Behind the scenes, he plays a critical role in ensuring our payroll, benefits administration, employee records, and financial reporting are handled accurately and efficiently. Within his first three years, he helped facilitate the transition of our payroll processing company which was a game changer in how we viewed and were able to utilize that current role.
What makes Calvin truly exceptional, however, is the level of wisdom, maturity, and emotional intelligence of which is well beyond his years. His positive attitude and steady presence have made a meaningful impact on our culture and the daily atmosphere at O&P Glass. Calvin has a unique ability to set a positive tone for the day, whether through a word of encouragement, a thoughtful conversation, a song (and he knows a lot) or a well-timed joke that has enough whit you’d think he was a comedian at night.
He is often one of the first people to celebrate a coworker’s success, offer support during a difficult time, or recognize when someone simply needs to be heard. These qualities cannot be taught—they come naturally to Calvin and are a big part of what makes him such a valued member of our team.
