Cutting a block today! When a cylinder block has cavitation, the cylinder liner sinks and becomes uneven. This can cause head gasket failure and compression in the engine cooling system. As we overhaul this engine, we cut the counterbore to true the block and shim the new liners to the proper OEM protrusion. This will ensure a long service life when the truck is back in service.

HJ Eppel & Co., Inc. did a great job on this project! The asphalt parking lot and ground work for the addition were done on time and on budget. Less dust and a better parking area were the goal with the front lot. The additional building will add 8 more doors to improve our capacity and efficiency when the project is all wrapped. See progress below.

Earlier this year Gray's Garage Inc entrusted us to deliver a bundle of projects to help set them up for the future. We installed a new entrance, a new heavy duty asphalt parking lot, a new reinforced concrete dolly pad, and constructed the building pad for their new shop addition. Gray’s has been a trusted name in heavy duty truck repair for over 50 years, servicing Livingston, LaSalle, Grundy, McLean, and the surrounding counties since 1963. We’ve trusted Gray’s with servicing and repairing our heavy trucks since their shop opened and we hope to continue that relationship for the next 50 years!

This was a great build. We got a bare International CV chassis. Our friends at Leman Paint Works, Ltd. painted and lettered the cab. We dropped on a knuckle boom and flat bed, fabricated bed sides, set up the PTO, installed tool boxes and water tank and dressed it up with polished wheels. This unit will be a workhorse for Pontiac Granite Company. We were proud to set it up.
