Starting July 20th of 2026, the small bridge on grapevine trail at Lindsey Cemetery will be closed off due to its deteriorating condition. The repairs on this bridge are expected to last around a year. If your commute includes going over this bridge, we suggest starting to look for a way around before the shut down occurs. ⚠️⚠️UPDATE (5:40PM) – US 51 Cairo Bridge Closure⚠️⚠️

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) crews have completed an inspection of the bridge and have identified the area requiring repair. The issue is located on the approach to the bridge on the Kentucky side, where a section has begun to fail.

Engineers are currently developing a repair plan, and contractors will begin work as soon as possible.

At this time, motorists should expect the bridge to remain closed until the necessary repairs have been completed, which could take several weeks. The closure is necessary to ensure the safety of the traveling public while repairs are being made.

We understand the inconvenience this closure creates and appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation.

We will continue to provide updates as we learn more information.

⚠️ TRAFFIC ALERT – US 51 CAIRO BRIDGE CLOSED ⚠️

The US 51 Cairo Bridge is CLOSED until further notice.

Motorists are urged to use alternate routes. Please avoid the area and allow for additional travel time while crews assess the situation.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is expected to release an official statement with additional details soon. We will share that information as soon as it becomes available.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post so others can plan accordingly.

We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation.

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from ERSCA! 🇺🇸
Emergency Road Service Coalition of America

Today, we celebrate the freedoms we cherish, the families we love, and the country we're proud to call home.

While many are enjoying backyard BBQs, parades, and fireworks, thousands of tow operators, first responders, law enforcement officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel are working to keep our highways safe and help those in need.

Their job is dangerous enough.

If you see flashing lights on the roadside, please do your part:

🚨 Slow Down
🚨 Move Over
🚨 Stay Alert
🚨 Put the Phone Down

A few extra seconds of caution can make the difference between a close call and a tragedy.

To every tow operator and roadside responder working this holiday, thank you for your dedication, professionalism, and commitment to serving others. Your sacrifices do not go unnoticed, and you are truly appreciated.

From all of us at ERSCA, we wish you and your family a safe, happy, and memorable Independence Day.

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July! Stay safe, travel smart, and help everyone make it home.
