Push Through Coaching I am healing! Healing is the start to learning whats on the other side of our trauma story. True change starts from within by shifting.

Healing takes time, forgiveness and grace. If we change our thoughts, we can change our beliefs, which can change our lives; supporting the growth through our experiences. Do you seem to repeat the same experience but with different people? Do you have a hard time getting over a relationship or lost?

I saw this quote and was like Woe! That has to really suck.

To make someone the villain in your story, only to look up and realize their life keeps moving forward while yours keeps repeating the same patterns.

Life has taught me that I don’t have to correct every rumor, change people’s perception of me, or match the energy somebody gives me.

And please don’t confuse that with me not knowing how. 😂 My ego is BIG, and being disrespected or mistreated used to have me wanting to remind you real quick who you’re playing with.

But healing has shifted me completely away from that.

If I’m being honest, I rarely have villains in my story anymore.

I have people who reveal things to me, expose patterns I still need to work on, & sometimes…people who teach me lessons I probably wouldn’t have chosen to learn on my own.

Even when someone does me “wrong”, eventually I’m going to turn the mirror back toward myself.

Maybe you’ve been so focused on what they did wrong that you haven’t stopped long enough to ask how YOU showed up.

Were you actually a good friend?
Did you pour back into the people who constantly poured into you?
Did you take accountability when you caused hurt?
Or did you make someone the villain because it was easier than looking at yourself?

Self-awareness will make you ask questions your ego doesn’t want to answer.

Sometimes the other person wasn’t perfect either. But maybe the difference is that they were willing to look at themselves, apologize, forgive, make corrections, and keep moving with love instead of spending their energy trying to prove you were wrong.

Pay attention to the fruit, Because the fruit always speaks.

Eventually life has a way of revealing what our patterns are producing. The question is do we see them?

Quick disclaimer: This is not about situations where someone is a threat to your safety, stalking or harassing you. Block them and protect yourself.
I’m talking about blocking someone because you’re hurt, triggered, angry, or simply don’t want to deal with what you’re feeling. This is about when the boundary becomes a growth opportunity, not a safety measure.

But Sometimes I wonder if the test for me is leaving the door unlocked and being strong enough not to walk through it.

Ive been learning that maybe my growth isn’t proven by how quickly I can remove you but by how little power the trigger has over me.

Can you trigger something in me without controlling what I do next?

If I say Im done and i set a boundary…Can you call me or send a text without me answering? Can you misunderstand me without me needing to explain myself?

But I’m also learning I don’t have to keep exposing myself to something harmful just to prove that I’ve healed.

Sometimes growth is staying….sometimes it is creating distance….and sometimes the lesson is learning the difference.

For ME, real growth isn’t locking the door, bc I I don’t need the door to disappear.

I need for my growth to be real enough for me to choose not to walk back through it. For me to move from a place of love but still maintain my boundaries.

Sometimes the only difference is how you choose to look at it.

“I’m alone” can feel lonely, or “I’m alone” can feel peaceful. The situation doesn’t change, but the perspective does.

I know women with families that all they want is a little alone time. Time to themselves and away from the noise and responsibilities.

On the flip side I know single women that desire the responsibility of children and want the family. They are tired of being alone.

I think sometimes we focus so much on what we don’t have that we forget to enjoy what we do.

I’ve had the opportunity to be a wife, raise my child as a single mother, and experience both sides of the relationship and single life.

Ive realized that there’s something beautiful about learning how to enjoy your own company. And at the same time, there’s nothing wrong with wanting someone to share your life with.

I think having experienced both has taught me to stop treating one season like it’s better than the other and just appreciate what each one gives me while I’m in it.

Right now, I’m choosing to enjoy this one.

Same situation, different . 🤎

“You don’t have to find the lesson in every painful experience. Sometimes surviving it was enough.”

Hear me out… Ive romanticized healing to the point that I thought every painful experience had to come with some profound lesson. I would put so much pressure on myself to make something meaningful out of everything Ive been through and continue to grow through.

Im always looking for the lesson or purpose of why it had to happen.

But some things just hurt.🫩

and honey Im tired! 🙄
(Im also dealing with perimenopause but thats another topic)

Some stuff just do not need a beautiful explanation.

You survived something that hurt you. ✅

You kept going when it would’ve been easier to
give up. ✅

You found your way back to yourself. ✅

That can be enough 🫶🏾

Okay, let me explain what I mean.

Real Growth changes you.

It changes what feels good to you, what you tolerate, talk about, and who you connect with.

That doesn’t automatically erase the memories or mean certain relationships wasn’t real. It may simply mean you’re not headed in the same direction anymore.

The problem comes when you recognize the disconnect but keep trying to make the relationship fit anyway because of history or loyalty.

Ive personally have had to learn this bc losing my sister made me afraid of leaving things unresolved with people I loved, so I held on to relationships and people I probably would’ve otherwise let go a long time ago.
I learned that when a person leaves this earth, all the caddy bickering no longer matters. And forgiveness feels so much better to my spirit then resentment.

But I also learned that history isn’t always a reason to keep forcing something in the present….and loving someone doesn’t always mean holding on to them.

Some people are just not meant to grow with you. They are part of a chapter.

And the reality is, sometimes the next version of your life requires you to stop reaching back for people who belonged to the last one.

Isn’t it interesting how two people can experience the exact same situation and walk away with completely different stories about what happened?

That’s because we don’t experience life only through what happens….we experience it through our beliefs, wounds, expectations, & understanding at the time.

And maybe we don’t always have to agree on what something meant. Two different perspectives don’t automatically make one person right and the other wrong.

I think growth and understanding starts with accepting that your experience can be true for you, and theirs can be true for them.

You’re simply experiencing the same thing from two different places.

And you don’t always have to agree.

Just caring enough to understand where the other person is coming from, even when you see it differently is enough to at least have a starting point of understanding.
