Vernon Fitzhugh became a MUZAK (now MOOD MEDIA) Franchisee in 1957 and started Fitzhugh Communications, Inc. He was the owner, manager, salesman and technician, as well as, a full-time employee of Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. As business grew, he left Southwestern Bell and devoted full attention to the expansion of business music and related pro audio/video and communications services throughout Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri. With the expansion of territory and services, Fitzhugh Point-of-Sale Solutions, Inc. (FPOS) was added to specialize in programming, design, installation and service of point-of-sale systems, digital signage/digital menu boards, integrated video security and drive-thru systems. Today, FCI & FPOS continue to serve clients not only in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri, but all over the United States.
