Who are the Fixers?

Gary and Cathy Reinard have worked within the campground hospitality industry for almost twenty years.. They have bought, fixed and sold two campgrounds for a significant profit in New York and are currently on their third campground venture in Florida. They have experience in both of the major campground franchises, KOA and Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Parks. Their hands-on approach with each part of their business has provided them with a variety of award winning skills that has proven to work – keeping their campgrounds in the top 5-10% of the country depending on the rating agencies.

Gary’s renovation skills are rivaled by none. After purchasing two diamonds in the rough, he has had to learn and expand his skills to renovate in the most cost-efficient way. He renovated them from the ground up and by maintaining the campgrounds to an incredibly high standard he caused them to achieve an extremely positive reputation that allowed each campground to sell for a tremendous profit. His knowledge includes every element of maintenance. Gary has experience in repair of everything from electric, sewer systems to pool filter plumbing and water chlorination systems. But Gary doesn’t just know how to do repair, he knows how to renovate old campsites into new campsites, both back-ins and pull-thrus, that ended up being the most requested sites in the park.

Cathy’s domain is everything related to the office, store, activity and event planning and marketing. From day to day operations, store merchandising, marketing, and trade show booth design, this is where she shines. Cathy has an MBA in marketing and has worked with various advertising agencies and printers to design traditional print media, websites and email campaigns which have won various marketing awards. She will teach you how to create unique events and theme weekends and plan the daily activity schedules to go with the themes. Her marketing skills allow her to suggest content for email blasts and deals, daily or weekly social media posts and updates, as well as online contests among the various social media platforms. Cathy also excels at store renovation design and knows the appropriate product mix that will sell in a variety of locations. Cathy will teach you customer service skills that increase repeat business and she knows what financial budgeting will make a business profitable.
