Vancouver and Clark County residents can drop off up to 5 cubic yards of leaves for free with the City of Vancouver's Fall Leaf Disposal Coupon, October 1 – December 31, 2026.

Staff Spotlight: Love Is in the Air at City Bark! 💍

This month's spotlight comes with some extra celebrating. Kailei and Deven met here at City Bark, fell in love, and on Saturday, October 3, they were married. Congratulations to you both! 🎉

Kailei is our Accounting Manager and has been part of the team for nine years. Deven is a Commercial Driver and has been with City Bark for four years.

Meet Chris Parsons, one of the drivers at our Vancouver location.

As a CDL driver, Chris says his favorite part of the job is the people and the experience. It keeps him active and engaged from day to day. And what don't most people realize about the work? "Sometimes you got get dirty!"

One of his most memorable moments on the job came from a customer, who gave him two "Atta Boy" shoutouts and a $100 gift card as a thank-you.

Outside of work, Chris has a green thumb for sweet peppers and corn, and a past as a standout baseball player in his younger days. Ask him about it sometime.

If he had to describe his team in one word, it would be "togetherness." We couldn't agree more. Thanks for all you do, Chris.

Fall is one of the best times of year to work on your yard in Clark County. The ground is still warm and the rain is on its way, so it's a good season for filling low spots, leveling out the lawn and topping off garden beds before winter.

That's a wrap on Steel & Steam 2026! Did anyone else make the trip this past weekend?

What a weekend for our neighbors down in Lebanon. The expanded event this year was something else — steam engine tours, the Willow Creek mini train, pedal-powered rail bike rides, and the Kids' Craft Caboose keeping the little ones busy. Nothing beats a community event that gets whole families outside together.

Speaking of outside: if the weekend got you looking at your own yard, we've got the soil, bark, and rock to get it back in top shape, plus a spot for whatever you're hauling out. Swing by Andresen Road.

City Bark & Recycling trucks will be on-site at the 33rd Annual Brooks Truck Show this Friday, August 21 and Saturday August 22, at Powerland Heritage Park in Brooks, OR. Come check out our fleet in person. Gates open at 10am, and Night Glow kicks off at 9pm.

Admission is $15 per day, kids 12 and under are free.
