That's my actual front yard. Not staged for this post, that's a picture I took a week ago of my own delivery dumped in the grass, 20 feet from my front door, apparently, my attack hibiscus was in riot mode.

Groceries, dinner, a prescription, whatever shows up today lands in the same handful of spots: the grass, the driveway, or the wet dirty ground by the hose. Somehow that's just normal now.

Yeah, I know. It's a table.
I've heard it. I say it. "Wow Gabe, groundbreaking, it's a #$&^%$ table." Glad we're clear on that.

Here's what's actually funny:
We automated the ordering, the tracking, the tipping, the "your driver is 2 minutes away" text. Nobody automated the two feet where the thing actually lands. That's still just whichever patch of yard happens to be closest.

Here's the kicker. Every test. Every pilot. The driver put it on the table. Every time. Your delivery driver wants this.

I get that I missed the calls and didn’t answer the door—but that doesn’t mean my food should just be left on the ground.

It was sitting on the concrete, bags tipped, drinks sweating, everything exposed. I understand contactless delivery, but there’s still a level of care that should go into it.

If a customer isn’t responding right away, it feels like there should be a little more effort before just leaving it like that.

I ended up reporting it in the app and leaving a low rating. Just expecting a bit more attention to how the order is handled.
