We’re in-network with TRICARE, Sentara Commercial, Sentara Medicaid, and Anthem-VA.

The same behavior doesn’t always happen for the same reason. 🪶

A child may cry because they want access to something, want a reaction from someone, want to avoid or leave a situation, or because crying itself helps them regulate. From the outside, the behavior can look exactly the same - but what’s influencing it may be very different.

That’s why behavior analysts look beyond what a behavior looks like and pay attention to the patterns surrounding it.

Understanding the why helps us make more informed decisions about how to respond and what skills to teach next. 💛
