This is the least biased article I've seen about the potential new congressional districts in Virginia.

What are your thoughts? Is sending it to the voters a fair way to make this change? Or is that just another 2 wolves one sheep scenario?

I fundamentally reject the use of violence for political or personal gain. Violence must only be used in self-defense. Lethal violence must only be used in imminent danger.

We must put aside any rhetorical justifications, political alliances, and pre-conceived notions. Tonight people died. Real humans who have parents and siblings and children of their own. People who share meals and laughter around a table of loved ones. People who worship, people who play, people who work and build their communities. We cannot dehumanize them to make this pill less bitter to swallow.

War is not to be entered lightly. Rules of engagement are just the bare minimum. Tonight I pray we do not fall victim to the villainization of innocent people so the war mongering monsters keep growing richer and richer while we sell lies to future generations.

Today, I filed my formal Declaration of Candidacy and submitted my petition signatures for ballot access. Now we wait.

Thank you to everyone who signed, supported, and encouraged me along the way.

I've worked on many campaigns before, but this is my first as a candidate and it has been a great learning experience.

I'm honored and proud to participate in the democratic process and I look forward to many more years of pushing policy forward to create a better Virginia for us all.

"Truth will ultimately prevail where there is pains to bring it to light."– George Washington

Often referred to as the Father of our country, General George Washington carries a legacy of bravery, steadfastness, ingenuity, vision, and leadership long after his passing. Ironically, he didn't even want to be President. He wanted to serve humbly, without fanfare.

The above quote exemplifies his best qualities in its recognition that we must always seek the truth, even when uncomfortable, to ensure liberty and justice for ALL.

Our founders knew a day would come that their words may be twisted for nefarious intent or lacking in modern understanding as society grows and adapts. But they also knew our core tenets must remain or all the spilled blood of our patriots will have been in vain.

What we are experiencing right now is painful. But that means truth and light are on the horizon if we embody the same qualities that built this great nation.

Happy Father's Day and thank you to all the brave humble, steadfast leaders out there. We see you.

Being an Independent candidate is a double edged sword. But I wouldn't sell out my principles for anything.

I don't have corrupt two party support with a local caucus placing a call to action for signatures just because they have the right letter next to their name.

I go door to door in my community, introducing myself to neighbors and asking for their help. I recruit volunteers who believe in me and my message to help. I get to have real conversations with real people and learn what their real concerns are.

My opponents are hobnobbing at fancy parties with lobbyists and corporate donors, padding their coffers & lining their pockets in exchange for favorable legislation.

Which kind of representative do you want working for you?

When I talk about common sense solutions to our rising food & housing costs, this is what I mean.

Every day people seeing a need in their communities and filling that need without jumping through bureaucratic hoops or facing unnecessary hurdles while big corporations get HUGE tax subsidies for providing low income part time jobs further pushing people into poverty.

Good job Newport News. Let's see more pop up farmers markets and small grocers in every neighborhood!
